Mend Again is Christy & Brendon Thomas. It is what eventually happens when two musically obsessed Vermonters— whose lives were intertwined from an early age— finally magnetize to make soulful, harmony-laced goodness.

Christy started singing before she could properly pronounce words, and she hasn’t stopped since. Raised by musician parents, she grew up steeped in song and stage. When she’s not crafting vocal lines or dreamy keys for Mend Again, she’s likely belting ballads under stage lights—having performed in nearly 50 musical theatre productions, with roles ranging from Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker to Ariel in The Little Mermaid to Mary Poppins, where she literally flew across stage. Within the band, she brings sweet melodies, lush harmonies, and a whole lot of heart.

Brendon took the scenic route in his musical come-up, starting out in punk rock bands as a teen. Halfway through his senior year of high school, he finished early to go on tour with Blind Luck Music, a punk/metal band that included none other than Christy’s older step-brother. They traveled the US, playing everywhere from DIY venues, rock clubs, and the Vans Warped Tour. Later Brendon mellowed (just a little) into his long-time solo project Foreverinmotion, and eventually co-founded the acclaimed folk-rock trio The End of America (TEOA). For Mend Again, he’s a swiss-army knife behind the scenes, playing a mess of instruments while handling production and mixing duties.

Though their musical journeys took different turns, Christy and Brendon were fated to find eachother again and again. In 2018: the stars aligned for good as B & Chris reconnected one the last time. They fell in love, and started making music that reflects their story.

Mend Again is more than a band—it’s a shared language, a place to process life, and a joyful expression of their ongoing collaboration in music and marriage.
